Outdoor Training Starts Wednesday 15th April 2009 Senior outdoor training commences Wednesday 15th April at 6pm until September 2009. If you want to be considered for selection in Saturday or Sunday Senior 1st-4th XI teams you should be attending. Development team training will be held on Monday evenings from 11th May 2009. All Development squad and U15 players are encouraged to attend. Holmesdale U17 Win Tunbridge Wells Tournament Holmesdale U17’s entered the Tunbridge Wells U17 colt tournament which spanned four days last week. This is the first time Holmesdale has been invited to the competition and one can probably understand why; as Holmesdale walked off with the Trophy on Friday. Holmesdale young guns captained by the superb Harry Galpin, showed fantastic team spirit and determination across their three day league games. Every bowler took on average 4 wickets and batsman chipped in with the runs. The stand out man of the tournament was Harry Galpin scoring 280 runs in the four days, including a 57 in the final to beat Tunbridge Wells in their own back yard. The U17s used their experience from the Holmesdale development structure & men’s cricket to play cricket way above their age and are a real credit to the club and Holmesdale ethos and development of young crickets. The Bespokes Ltd man of the match award goes to, IGL specialist Harry Galpin for some fantastic leadership & batting performances.

Club News - Holmesdale Elects New Chairman Holmesdale's AGM was held on the 27 March 2009. Mike Smout stepped down as Chairman and Stefan Purdy was elected with immediate effect. Mike has been an asset to the club as Chairman, securing verbal security of tenure of the ground, coaching and playing. He will continue to be a big part of Holmesdale as he plays and develops our affiliation with Halstead CC. The rest of the committee remained the same, with a new post created for the club welfare officers (Jill Bryant & Lee-Anne Fossett). This committee will continue to work to improve the club for all its members.
